MEET THE OWNER
Hello, I’m Victoria Buffalo Robe. I am Nehiyaw Iskwew (a Cree woman) from Saskatchewan, Canada. As a child, my aunt and mother taught me how to pick plants for traditional medicine. Today, I’m a trained aesthetician, student of herbalism, and creator of regenerative skincare and beauty using handpicked botanicals from BC and the Yukon.
INDIGENOUS OWNED REGENERATIVE BEAUTY
Looking around the current skincare and beauty landscape, it feels like too much. Too many steps in a routine means too many products to purchase.
Which means too much financial cost to maintain, Too many containers to dispose of, With too many ingredients we can’t pronounce. This didn’t sit right with me, especially with my early memories of picking plants for use as medicine.
As a Cree woman who grew up picking flowers as medicine in Saskatchewan, I am rooted in the understanding that we humans are as much a part of the Earth as the plants and the animals we coexist with.
When ecosystems are healthy, for every ill there is a remedy. Our planetary ecosystem is stressed from too much modern complication, greed, and a feeling of separation from the Earth.
Our work at Holistic Buffalo is rooted in a vision of a world in which every individual knows their intrinsic connection to the planet – and the change that comes with this understanding. Our selection of sustainable, regenerative skincare products are created with intention and love – each naturally containing anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, protective, restorative or astringent properties. Each infusion is multi-purpose – the botanicals also effective for muscle recovery, wound healing, scar reducing, antibiotic, or cell regeneration.
Holistic Buffalo is here to connect conscious, Earth-loving individuals with botanical skincare and wellness solutions – made from abundant wildflowers harvested from pristine environments in BC.
We hope to remind everyone we come into contact with of their connection to the Earth – and so each offering is created with respect for the planet, and informed by Indigenous harvesting traditions.
